The Department of Recreation and Sport Management is a “sporty” department that boasts various sport facilities and teaching modules. Established in 2007, the department features high-quality faculty members who come from sports or leisure backgrounds. Theoretical and practical knowledge are designed and embedded in the course framework. Students who graduate from this department are expected to have sufficient theoretical knowledge and technical skills to thrive in the competitive sports and recreation industry.
The department is located on the 4th floor of the Administrative Building. Multi-practical oriented classrooms include a fitness center (cardiovascular area, cross-training machine area, free-weight area, stretch area, and fitness evaluation area), spinning classroom, TRX classroom, sports virtual game classroom, aerobics classroom (capacity of 80 people), martial arts classroom, multi-functional stadium (2 basketball or 2 volleyball fields or 7 badminton courts), tennis courts, volleyball courts, archery fields, softball fields, and handball courts, offering a diverse learning environment.
The department is also equipped with mountain bikes, diving gear, kayaks, canoes, sailing boats, and river tracing equipment for outdoor recreational activities. We are also recognized as a Scuba Schools International Certification Center. This achievement provides many opportunities for students in their career development.
